Features
This product is new-generation leather tanning agent that is developed on the basis of glutaraldehyde tanning agent. It has overcome the shortcomings like sharp aroma, yellow, etc. of high-content glutaraldehyde. Modified glutaraldehyde has features as soft, not easy to be oxidized, good storage performance, excellent extensibility, perspiration resistance, acid resistance and alkali resistance etc.

Appearance: Transparent and colorless or light yellow liquid
Active matter (total carbonyl content) (w/w): > 32%
pH value@25℃: 5--7
Solubility in water@20℃: Miscible
Uses:
This product is mainly used in leather tanning, is suitable for pretanning, retanning, and combination tanning of chrome tanned leather, and tanning of fur. It can be used in acidic, neutral and alkaline conditions with dosage of 2-5%(calculated as shaved weight). PH value is 4-5 and 7-8, and preferably 7.0. Tanning temperature is 10-40℃, best temperature is 30-35℃, liquor ratio is 1-10, best range is 1-2.5, rotation time shall not be less than 0.5 hours.
